The Recordings API allows recording conversations automatically.

As a real life example, consider the scenario where a company wants to download the mp3 files of an interaction/call. Using the Recordings API, the company can have access to them.

Usage

The Recordings API automatically records conversations if recording or voicemails are enabled for an account or number.

Each conversation may generate multiple recordings. To retrieve and store the recording files that matter, Talkdesk® recommends sorting or filtering the files by duration.

Dual Channel Format

Recordings for calls placed after April 18, 2017 are in provided dual channel format, by default. However, customers can choose to disable this feature within their Talkdesk account.
All recordings are in mp3 format.

The Recordings API is only available for customers enrolled in Talkdesk's Early Access (EA) program.
To enter the EA program, contact a Customer Success Manager.

The Recordings API has been in GA since June 2021.
