Interaction Announcement API
Overview
The Interaction Announcement API allows playing an audio file on an ongoing call by using the interaction ID. This announcement will be heard on the agent and on the contact person's side.
Usage
Requesting an announcement - playing an announcement in an interaction. Examples:
- Having an audio file playing a beep every X seconds until the call ends, reminding the contact person that the call is being recorded.
- Playing an audio file at the beginning of an outbound call.
- Playing terms and conditions during a call.
- Etc.
API Availability
The Interaction Announcement API has been in Early Access (EA) since August 2020.
To enter the EA program, contact a Customer Success Manager.
